Expert Panel on Effective Animal Advocacy 🐟
We joined forces with the Centre for Animal Ethics at Universitat Pompeu Fabra to host an expert panel: "Effective Animal Advocacy: Exploring Neglected Areas in Animal Welfare.” The panel featured Míriam Martínez (Observatorio de Bienestar Animal), Björn Jóhann Olafsson (Faunalytics), and Daniela R. Waldhorn (Rethink Priorities) who shared powerful insights on fish welfare, the role of research in shaping policy, and how we can make a bigger impact for animals. Videomaking for Project for Awesome 2025 🎥
Six of us got behind the camera to film videos for Project for Awesome (P4A) - an annual online fundraising event that raises money for different charities. This year we supported the Good Food Institute, Faunalytics, ACTRA, and Children Change Colombia, advocating for a better food system, improved animal welfare, mental health and global development. Deep-dive discussion: Screwworm Free Future 🐛
Lukas Paul Robertson led a deep dive into the fight against screwworms, an overlooked but major animal welfare and economic issue which causes immense suffering to billions of wild and domestic animals. However, past successes show that eradication is not only possible, but cost-effective too. The Screwworm Free Future project is hiring a director to help drive this mission forward!
