This month was all about reconnecting with one another. The cold winter months have finally come to an end, so the EA Barcelona community ventured outdoors to soak in some sun and share ideas and plans for this year.

We’re introducing our brand NEW Community Spotlight!
Ana Luna Hernández is a third year Biotechnology student at Universitat of Barcelona. She is especially interested in alternative protein development and the One Health approach, which links human, animal, and environmental health. This month, she and her classmates organised a university fundraising campaign and successfully raised 460,68€ for Against Malaria Foundation! This initiative will provide 230 insecticide-treated bed nets, protecting approximately 460 people for 3 to 4 years. Amazing work, Ana and team!

We had a delightful Saturday afternoon in Ciutadella Park with 14 attendees, including a few new faces. The sunshine complemented our engaging conversations on effective altruism, AI, career paths, and ideas for more regular get togethers Thanks to everyone who came!
Coworking in Sopa ☕️
At our last coworking session at Sopa, we discussed the concept of a meta charity (nothing to do with Mark Zuckerberg, don’t worry!) and did some deep work over cacao lattes. We plan these sessions so that our members can connect, share ideas, and make progress on impactful projects in a relaxed, collaborative space. Interested in joining the next one?
